Raising Canes has become a viral sensation to many individuals across platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. The debate that stands is whether it’s as delicious as it’s made out to be.
Location
Canes has various locations across the U.S, with some expanding to outside of the U.S. and into other countries. The location that I visited was in Fairless Hills, PA, which is located on the very end of Pennsylvania, close to Trenton, NJ. It’s address is 640 Commerce Boulevard Fairless Hills, PA 19030. It is about an hour drive from Colonia, NJ.
Atmosphere
Canes is a fast food style restaurant, that includes sit down, take out, and drive through options. I ordered at the ordering station, and when I received my food I sat down at a table. The place was overall very clean, organized, and the staff was extremely friendly. The place was very well decorated as it had Canes themed paintings covering the walls.
Menu
The items on the canes menu include chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, canes sauce, Texas toast, coleslaw, and a sandwich. You can add extra of any of these items to whichever combo that you order. They also sell various fountain drinks to go with your meal. There are five different combo options available. I ordered the three finger combo, which contains three chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, one canes sauce, Texas toast, and a regular drink. The prices for the meals are a bit expensive, the three finger combo I ordered costed $9.99. You can also order tailgates, that come in 25, 50, 75, and 100 chicken fingers along with many containers of sauces.
Opinion
Personally, I thought Rasing Canes was really good, but it wasn’t all it was made out to be. The three finger combo came with the perfect amount of food. The chicken was not my favorite, I thought it was a bit too chewy. I would’ve enjoyed it more if it was crispier. The fries however, were pretty crispy and tasted very good. I really enjoyed the taste of the sauce that came with it. My favorite part of my meal was the Texas toast. It was toasted very well, was buttery, and had a nice flavor. Overall, I would give my meal an eight out of ten.
Opinion of others
A group of my peers from Colonia High School went along with me to try Raising Canes, and some expressed their opinions of the food they received. Derrick Pettus and Matthew Rodriguez both tried the same combo as me which was the three finger combo. Derrick Pettus thought that, “it was juicy, crispy and tender. I would rate it a eight out of ten.” Matthew Rodriguez stated that ” I thought it was gas. I would rate it an eight out of ten.” Emily Schmidt ordered a different item, the kids combo. She expressed that, “I thought it was good and I enjoyed the experience but I would never drive over an hour again to get the food. I really loved the ice because it was nugget ice. I would rate it a seven out of ten.”
